A press release?! Rich, you really are full of yourself

Welcome to the Internet Rich where cowards who won't identify themselves but feel like they are 10 feet tall (as long as their hiding in mom's basement) will attack you for merely trying to make other lives better. I've watched the work you are doing both with the Photowalking Utah, iStock and your own blog. You're the real deal with lots to contribute. Don't let the trolls get you down.

That is good for a laugh, seriously. I can't believe someone took the time to post such a snide remark.

I actually think the press release is a good idea to help increase awareness and reach new people to be a part of the Utah photographic community. I hope to see some similar releases going out when we get around to the next PhotoCamp as well.

Low class comment. Rich is a person that is willing to share time/experience/knowledge and friendship. Is willing to give and does not asked for anything in return!!!

Comentary de baja calidad. Rich es una persona que esta dispuesto a compartir su tiempo, esperiencia, conocimiento y amistad. El siempre esta dispuesto a dar sin tener que recibir nada

It sounds to me like someone making a joke (hopefully)... and it could be someone you know!

(Though, it really is obnoxious how obnoxious people hide behind anonymous posts.)

You have to love the bravery provided to the insecure by the "Anonymous" posters. I for one am glad that I found PWU and for the help you have provided Rich. The PWU community has proven time after time that Photographer community can share and grow together instead of being insecure, reclusive, and elitist as many would have it. Great job Rich!

We shouldn't make fun of the "anonymous coward". Perhaps the person is unfamiliar with the term and why it's used. Poor dear.

Seriously, hope your Utah photo walks go beautifully. Being in the Northeast I'm just praying for no rain tomorrow morning because this will be my first photo walk and it's very exciting.

I recently discovered Rich's blog several months ago, and I'm hugely grateful for the time and effort that he spends to share his craft and educate others.

My first impression was that the first comment was good natured ribbing...but decided to jump in here just in case it wasn't, hehe.

Looking forward to being a part of the Photowalking community tomorrow!

I did not get the impression that this was intended to be anything other than a slight. However, the reality is that the Photowalking Utah group that Ann, Rich, myself, Jeremy, Harley, Dale and many others have helped create has done something special in the area of photowalking. This group has been successful because everyone has been interested in helping build something that was for the community. If others have a problem with that, the least they could do is stand up and be forthright with who they are.
